About Me

I'm Dale Kneen, a freelance architecture and design writer based in London. I'm particularly interested in projects that are open to the public to visit, such as museums, galleries, hotels, libraries and landscape projects. 

Travel8ing.com is my "notebook" of projects I'm interested in. It's a filing system for me to refer back to when I'm writing freelance articles. With limited or no editing, I place the information I have on buildings and the photographs I've received from architects and designers into three directories (architects, designers and destinations) to make it easy for me to find them. 

I make these available on the web as I realise that many people like seeing these buildings too. The "Destinations" directory page, in particular, is there to help people discover buildings around the world that they might wish to visit when travelling.

The four images on the top of the homepage are the four projects that have been read the most. The number of "hits" on each project in the database is recorded automatically and so the four projects that are shown on the homepage change automatically if another project has more "hits". The images in the right navigation bar are those that have the highest rating in the database. Readers are able to rate any project by clicking the star rating at the end of the "Design Concept" description on individual project pages. Individual IP addresses are only able to vote once for each project.
